When I try to "track" a topic I get an error message "You are already subscribed to this topic or forum". I don't understand the message. Doesn't it mean that I wish to track a topic I've entered?

Hi There,

That means you are already tracking the topic. If you click up top where it says My Topics, you will see your current topics that you are watching.

You may have to go into your Controls to adjust how you actually get notified about the topics.

So go ahead, and post a question or reply. Meet someone new today.

2. Do I need to create an account to use Geeks to Go and what do I need to sign up?
If you want to create or reply to a topic, you will need to create an account. There is no charge for creating an account with Geeks to Go. Everything is free! You will need to supply a valid email address. We do not provide your personal information to third parties, and you will not get spam by providing your email address.

See more details at this link: How to Create a New Topic

Search to see if your question has already been asked, and answered.

Register, if you haven't already.

Choose an appropriate category (forum).

Click the Start New Topic button.

Give your topic an informative title, and type your question in the big white box.

Click the Post New Topic button, or Preview to see what your topic will look like.

4. We don't typically delete accounts. If you choose to not use it, then it will just become inactive, but we rarely delete accounts. Is there a problem you'd like to discuss? You may feel free to PM me.

Is there a way to flag a query as being solved so that anyone else with the same problem can know it was resolved and look at the solution?

I applied to Geek U almost a month ago. Do the school still exist? How long will it be before I hear a reply?

Derricks2,

I'm sorry for the delay. Shortly after you applied, we were forced to quickly upgrade our forum software due to some malicious attacks. In the process, we lost the mods that allowed us to receive and process applications for GeekU. GeekU is still open; just the application process is missing right now. I believe your application is still available for me to look at; I will review it and get back to you with a reply.

Thanks for the reply. I heard about the attacks wasn't sure what was going to happen next with the program. Glad to see that it's still here.
