Just turned on pc this afternoon and lo and behold, before I even got a chance to go online, AVG advised me of the following detection:

C:WINDOWS\system32WXP exe

I immediately selected heal and AVG advised me that healing was successful.

When I looked at virus vault, I get the following info when selecting C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Size of file 71 kb
Healable No

So is it healed or not.

Also I have downloaded no attchements since last session which was this morning.

I received four PDF files which I opened this morning, and computer was on for a considerable amount of time, but AVG did not advise me during that sesssion of any problems.

Due to the fact that this was detected while I was off line brings me to a question that I've always had in the back of my mind. Can a virus or trojan be sent over the phone lines, by means of the phone.?

I am currently running a virus scan at the present time and await results.
