Firefox 2 Portable or Full version

I have been trying out Firefox 2 Portable, installed on a USB thumb drive,
And think it’s great, my question now is …

Would there be any benefits for me installing the full version on my
Computer compared to using the portable version …?

I would imagine the full, installed version runs faster (and certainly launches faster) than the portable firefox, so I see no sense in running the portable version uneccesarily on your own PC except perhaps to try out FF for the first time without installing anything.
