Weird problem involving background and visuals

First this happened on my dad's account, which a simple system restore fixed, but I can't do it to mine, because I need it to stay on since I'm on vacation, and need it for remote access. Anyway, I would like to know the root of the problem...

the problem is that the background has disappeared, and when I try to change it, it won't let me...and, well, look for youself...Posted Image

other visual things happen too, but I don't recall what they are right now...if I remember, I will piost it..what could be wrong?

solved on my own....I had to reinstall the LogMeIn program, and it worked...
