OuterInfo Infection - working on removing files

Hi - My sister's computer is infected with OuterInfo Popups...I was following the removal info in this guide:

After I ran "HostsXpert" and followed the instructions, the next step was "Reboot".

Edit: Computer would not reboot - was able to get it to boot up by holding down 'F8' while hitting the power button. Computer now claiming 'keyboard failure' when it works fine in safe mode.

Can I get around this so I can download HiJackThis to post here?
