seems to be running farily well, a little bit of lag here and there, but its about time for a scheduled defrag anyways so thats tto be expected...is the log clean?

It's clean. If you want it to boot up faster, you can put check marks next to these when you run hijack this. You aren't eliminating the programs -- you're just not allowing them to start up when your computer boots up.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.

thanks a lot, this has been really helpful, I was using firefox a while back, but switched to avant....which was a mistake...tahst when this all happened, so I switched over to netscape and I'm using firefox again...thanks again!
