When ever I open a multiplayer game on STEAM (valve) (eg. Counter-Strike Source) Norton picks up a Trojan Horse and the multiplayer game I started doesnt open fully and an error message comes up "this steam game is currently unavalible. please try another time".
Please help.

Please edit your post in the malware forum and attach a hijackthis log, this will get you some help faster.
Once you are done there come back here, in the mean time please uninstall steam and reinstall it from the official site.

it turns out that Norton thinks a part of steam is a virus.
its a false-positive.
just disable auto-protect for a moment and when you get past the loading signs you turn it back on.
simple.

thanks for the help though.

here is the latest updates from the steam forums:

http://forums.steamp...ad.php?t=575061

it appears to have something to do with script blocking feature of Norton AV.
