This message that appears on my laptop does not affect its performance, but I wonder if I need to check it out:

It says: HP QuickPlay Resident Program QuickPlay service
QPService.exe-Application Error

Thanks.

This process is related to HP QuickPlay. If you want to use that feature, you will want to check HP's website for an update (uninstall if from the control panel first, as described below.)

If you don't, you can try checking in Add/Remove Programs in the control panel for the QuickPlay uninstaller and uninstall it form there.

Or, you could stop the service from starting by going to Start > Run > typing "msconfig" (no quotes) and looking in the Startup tab for something that says QuickPlay.
Under "Command," it should start off with "C:\Program Files\HP\QuickPlay\"
