Hi I am having a problem, when I go to the start menu and select shut down, the window pops up with the options to restart,or shut down etc... I click on them, sometimes they don't even respond, other times when they do respond it goes and does its thing but then it freezes when it says "saving settings". I think I have a virus or something because i deleted some trojans and viruses earlier but i think theres still something my programs wont pick up. And another problem, Something is not letting me download any new anti virus programs, the installer launches but after a few seconds it closes before it can finish.

pls help...im worried

The computer should shut down if you press and hold the power button, only do this until you sort the error out

Please follow the procedures outlined here: Malware Removal Guide

You will need a PC which can connect to the internet

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

For the purpose of accurate malware analysis, Hijack This Logs are only dealt with in the Malware Forum. Posting them anywhere else will result in a delayed response

If you are unable to run any of the programmes, please ask for advice in the Malware Forum
