I get these errors when I click on certain areas of a web page, but not in other parts of a page. For example, when I went to Microsoft's web site to get the latest MSN Messenger 7.0 and click on the graphic, or when I do a Google Search and the search results come up and try to click on the "sponsored links" on the right hand side of the web page, I get the following messages:

a) Internet Explorer 6: "The Page Cannot Be Displayed" in the instances mentioned below.

b) Mozilla Firefox and Netscape 7.1: "The Connection Was Refused When Attempting To Contact clk.atdmt.com (in the case of trying to down MSN Messenger 7.0) and the same message appears when clicking on a google sponsored link, except the web link says www.googleadservices.com

I know it is not a problem with the server of the website I am visiting because I would copy and paste the link into another opened browser window and the link would work fine. I investigated all the settings in IE, etc., but could not find anything out of the ordinary. I did all kinds of scanning of AdWare, Trojans, and the like, but the problem keeps coming up.

Considering that this is a problem that happens with all three of my browsers, I am guessing there is something on my computer that affects all three of my browsers. Also, when I tried to click on the link for MSN Messenger 7.0 download on Microsoft's web site, the "Restricted Sites" and the "Do Not Enter" sign come up. Once again, I checked all my browsers security settings and everything is fine.

My guess here is that there is some kind of AdWare, SpyWare, MalWare, Trojan, or multi-browser Hijack going on here. I did all the appropriate scanning with the latest AdAware, SpyBot Search and Destroy, CWS Shredder, CleanUp, and Hijack This utilities. Yesterday, I used a Symantec Norton Utility called Adware.IEPlugin to remove this problem that came up in a XoftSpy scan. I don't use this utility anymore because you have to pay for it to utilize the removal and delete options.

Below is the log from my Hijack This scan of today and could anyone out there tell me if there is anything here that can be deleted safely and if there are any culprits causing my woes trying to access web links. I had to go through www.majorgeeks.com to get the MSN Messenger 7.0 download.

Your help out there is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
