i just put a lan card (tp-link) in this computer, and im connected, (obviosly im here) but i cant go on aim or irc which is all ive tried. what do i do?

umm, nope, i dont think so, but im not sure, maybe windows firewall but i dont think so. other then zone alarm which isnt on.

Try updating/reinstalling AIM and IRC or get Trillian which will allow connection to all IMs at once.

yet i remain disconnected with trillian. ?? and i just got the aim and irc
cuz i just got internet
no this is not a new computer
i had dialup before

Pidgin is another multiple client.

You had dialup before, what are you using now? Are there any restrictions (ie parental) at the ISP level?

i have no parental guidance, no. But restrictions, idk how to tell.
