Hi princeton,

Welcome to the Geeks to Go Forum. My name is Trevuren and I will try to get you out of this mess. Your system has an infection called the A:B WXP/2K with running process infection better known around here as Dr Watson. This infection disables different functions on different computers. Unfortunately your problem is one of the hardest because you cannot open files on your desktop and you need to download, install and run applications to clear up this mess.

If you have access to your START button, we may have a chance.

Left click START,
Left click run and see iif a little box appears, if it does we may be in business.

To run a program from the Command Prompt, just type its name. To launch a data file, you need the START command. For example, START XCOPY.TXT will open the specified text file in Notepad.

You also have to experiment with Zip files. I think by just typing the name of the zip file with its extension you shouls be able to get it to run.

Let's try this: I'll give you a link to file, you download it and try to open it through the RUN command.

Please download and unzip
About:Buster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program. (DO NOT RUN THE PROGRAM)

It may take you a bit of time to master this but persevere.

Please get back to me on your progress. Once you learn how, I'll be sending you things to clear your system up pretty fast

Regards,

Trevuren
