My brother was having problems with his computer, so I took out his hard drive and put it into mine to backup some of the files. But when I try to copy them over I get notifications about not having the permissions. But when I click allow to change the permissions I get the error:

An error occurred when applying security information to:

folder im trying to edit

Access is denied

BTW I'm using Vista if that matters.

On the hard drive you are trying to copy off of, was it XP or Vista that was installed?

And did he have any extra users on the computer.
