I have been trying to connect to AOL via my desktop computer. I reinstalled AOL and went through many steps in order to try to get AOL to work again. It was finally reinstalled and ready to set up network connections, but then said it could not find the modem. My modem is definately there, and in device manager it shows that it is there and working correctly. I have no idea what to do to use AOL on my desktop. I have Windows XP, and have had that computer for a few years and it has always worked correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

You haven't said, but since it's shown in Device Manager I'm assuming it's a dial-up modem as opposed to a broadband cable or DSL one.
