It's currently 512mb but I want 1gb at least. Does anyone know if this is possible? Will I be able to get a hold of the RAM at PC World for example? Is it easy to insert yourself. It's a laptop, I don't know how or if it'll differ from a desktop.

Thank you.

It says it's expandable to 2GB of RAM.
This is what kind of memory you want to buy.
1GB PC2-4200 533MHz Non-ECC Unbuffered 200-pin DDR2 SoDIMM Memory

What country do you live in? I need to know this so I can tell you what site to buy it from, unless you already have one in mind. In the case just provide the link to that site. Please don't buy parts from PC world, I have heard a lot of people complain how expensive it is when compared to their competitors. As for where you can find your memory you'll need to look at the manual provided when you bought the laptop (if you still have it), as it could be under either the bottom of your laptop or the keyboard. If it's under the keyboard I generally don't recommend anyone who doesn't know a lot about computer to take on the task as a lot of things can go wrong.

Bonny Scotland!

I'll probably get someone who knows their way around computers to do it.

I thought that was an expression or something. I'm could probably find sites via google, but couldn't tell you if they were reliable or not, your best bet would be to ask someone from Scotland.
