My files froze and I had to unplug it to turn it off to restart. Now it won't restart.

I get as far as the page with the words at the bottom,
press ESC, or Press F10 or Press F12

I can get into the Bios at that point and have selected boot up with hardware.
That doesn't work.
Got to Safe Mode page by continually pressing F8, tried everything there nothing works.
Does this mean I cannot ever open my computer? If there is a way, please let me know please.

Thanks so much,
Morgana

By 'rebooting' you mean it just won't run again, right?

My guess is that you pulled the plug during a processing/launching of an system file. Therefore let's try to do a Windows Repair. It will keep your data intact, yet replace all system files. :whistling:

Follow this guide to repair XP. You will need an XP Installation CD or a restore CD.

You will definitely be able to turn on your computer again, so don't worry.
