Trying to get rid of pop ups [CLOSED]

Hi! I'm new here, and pretty new to maintaining a computer. I have a friend helping me right now setting my new computer up with different downloads to protect me and keep out the nasties. I started getting pop ups again though, and he suggested I download Hijack This and go from there. Here are the results of the scan:

First uninstall "WeatherBug" through the control panel, it's serving you ads, it's adware. Also, uninstall "BHODemon" the same way. It is actually not helping anything. It is actually blocking some of your security and limiting your browser's capability. Next, reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files and folders, and remove the following files:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe <-- This File

Next, Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

How's your system working?

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use).

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

Nathan,
Since running Hijack this this morning and deleting all the files as suggested, I have gotten 3 pop ups. 2 were for ebay, and 1 was from MSN. A friend suggest I download and scan with Trojan.com because I also am getting files from DSO Exploits when I run Spybot. The Trojan Scan always gets stuck at C:\WINDOWS\_DEFAULT.PIF, & the history shows

Hi Gunnie,

You could have a newer Look2Me that won't appear in Hijack This logs--and can be difficult to remove.

First, it's not good to have two antivirus programs installed on your system at the same time. One of them should be unisntalled.

Next, run The Cleaner from this link to scan for trojans:

Okay,
I did the scan, and it found 0 trojans. I also went back and think I finally got all of the McAfee stuff uninstalled.

I also get quite a few things when I run Spybot. DSO Exploit is always one of them. What do you think? Do I still have a nasty in there?

You have some new things to delete and fix. Be sure to keep SpywareBlaster updated to prevent these problems. Reboot in safe mode (by tapping F8 at startup and select safe mode from the menu). Be sure you're able to view hidden files and folders, and remove the following files in bold:

C:\Program Files\Toolbar\ <-- This Folder
C:\Program Files\Sprint\SmartBridge\ <-- This Folder
