Hi all,
Some weeks ago, I could not use my homebanking program anymore.
That program reports at start up that my WIN.INI file couldn't be opened because
it was locked by onother user.
Indeed, when I try to delete the win.ini i get the same message "can not be deleted, is in use by other program, please close all programs".
I gess this problem is caused by a malware/spyware/virus.
Via my bank helpdesk, I know the same problem has been reported my more users.
Many sweeps by Norton Antivirus and Spy Sweeper (Webroot) didn't remove
the problem.
The only work around is to start up in safe mode, copy and rename win.ini
in win_old.ini . Afterwards, I reboot in normal mode and I rename win_old.ini back into win.ini . After using my PC banking I have to rename it again to win_old.ini because after a while it gets locked up again.
Is there anyone with the same experience who can help me to get rid of this problem?
