hello! i've been having problems when playing music in iTunes. if i have pretty much any program running at the same time, the music starts skipping, repeating parts, and just plain going crazy. i'm not really sure how to explain it. it's like i'm rewinding, fast forwarding, and pausing and playing very quickly. i was wondering what the problem is. is it the program? or my computer? any help would be great.

edit: i have the most recent version... 7.3.1.3

well... i have:

windows xp home edition
service pack 2
Pentium® 4 CPU 1.70GHz
1.69 Ghz, 768 MB of RAM

(hope that's what you wanted)

i've run a defrag, adware/spyware/virus scans and computer check-ups. no improvements so far.
