Hi all,

Wondering why every forum post I click on takes me to bottom of page, sometimes middle/last page of the post. I'm running FF, up to date, but - easy out - also Sandboxie. Forgot about that, probably the reason.

Nice site, hope to contribute & not just be a taker.   : )

I searched this topic for 'heading' and 'headings' - no matches. People must be asking you to allow longer topic headings. I see so many truncated, as was my own.

Forums that i think should be added:

Introductions & Farewells - So people can properly introduce themselves on the site & post there farewells!

Smartwatches - So people can discuss the new & 'smart' invention of the modern world.

Forum Suggestion:

Besides making a 'retired forums' section, just make a Archive Section & and all the retired forums just make them a sub-forum in the archived section.

Theme/Template Suggestion:

Make a new & more modern theme for the upcoming year.

Logo Suggestion:

Make a new logo, that is more modernized.

Thanks for the feedback!

1. We had an introductions forum, but it turned into a spam magnet. We'll take a look at revisiting it as we have better spam protections now.

2. Archived or retired forums are always difficult. In a perfect world there would never be a forum archived. People have spent time and effort creating the questions and replies.

3. We update out theme often. Taste is very subjective, and it's always difficult to marry the old familiar forum look, with a modern design trends.

4. Logo could use some work. I'm always open to submissions.

(actually I think plain text with a geek caricature is next on tap)

We all know how to go out on the internet to search for something.
I'm fairly new to the site and do not yet know how to find things.
It frustrates me to do a search here on the site and have it take me
out into the internet for the search rather than searching GTG.
I would like to see an onsite search capability that searched only GTG.
I also have other suggestions and do not yet know how to best present them.

If you mean the search box at the top, click on Google and adjust the search area to your interest.

You could modify the how the website shows time like add the 24-hour format to options in user profile. Like that it wouldn't be so confusing to read when the post was made.
That's especially useful for people from Europe ^^

I suggest to add a video tutorial  on youtube to explain how to use the site.

What do you mean by that exactly? GeeksToGo is a support forum where you can seek technical support. Is the forum hard to use? If so, in what way?

What would be good would be at the end of a post that is solved an in short how it was solved so if you get that problem you don't have to sniffle through all the post but can instead just skip to the end and try the fix. I think it would stream line things Ok it is a bit more work but a lot more user friendly. Even a button to go to how it was resolved.

The reason some posts are very long pages and this would rule out all the non relative things. Maybe a silly idea..
