New user here. I would like to see a Webzone Forum topic with Subgroups The Good The Bad and The UglyAnd Danger Zone. In my current search for
answers I did a google search for for suspicious file igfxhk.cmd. The result sent me to a site Removed that I think redirected me to http\\Removed which exibits virus like behavior like a porn site where every time you try to close a window 2 more pop up. I don't intuitively see which current forum catagory would cover this as a subject. I have seen this on more than one computer lately and would like to get it posted in the proper panel.

Your request should go in the Malware Removal forum.

And many people cannot read those colors, especially the yellow. It's not a good idea to use colors like that, or there will be people who cannot understand what you're saying. :)

Hi everybody! :) Just wanted to put in my two cents about this forum... it's all good! It seems like a good group of people here who are very knowledgeable, witty, and fun! I'm glad to be a part of it! :) See you around!

I haven't read if this was said anywheres, but I have a suggestion about the spoiler code. Instead of covering everything up in black, it would look much better, and easier to read if you just put it in a collapsable box. That way if you want to read it, you just need to click to expand the box. I've seen it this way in a few forums before, and it looks a whole lot better and is easier to read.

Okay, I'm finally making myself get used to this horrible "Beta" theme, and after two days, it's not so bad...

But can we please have some contrasting colours? The Classic theme is nice and dark blue and light, and it's easy to tell whether I have read a post or not. But in the Beta, everything is so "light and white" that it's difficult on the eyes... and I've got good eyes...

If the funky little folder pictures (well, now they're paper and pencil) that indicate thread status were darker, I think it'd be a lot easier to get around.

Cheers

Troy

After the new skin is out of beta, some new colors will be added. Probably even some completely new skin choices (for members). However, it's too difficult to be making changes multiple times, so we'll have just the one 'beta' skin for now.

How about a button at the bottom of the forum home page to send you back to the top? Sort of like the "^Top" button right above this post does except on the main forum page?

Geekstogo should hire more people to control the overcrowded HijackThis Log's forum.

jt1990: Try pressing the "Home" button on your keyboard. Unless you have a cursor in an input field, the Home button will take you to the top of the page you're on. If you have a cursor in a text field on the page, pressing the Home key will take you to the cursor.

Axelion: We do not hire people to work in the malware forum or any other forum at G2G. We are all volunteers...nobody collects a paycheck here.

LOL my bad...didn't notice that I said hiring.

So yeah, create ads to find more volunteers. Maybe there could be a different plan to obtain volunteers.

It's not a simple matter to obtain volunteers to work in the HJT forum. No one is allowed to help people in that area unless they graduate from our (or another approved) HJT training program. This program can take several months to complete, and is quite rigorous. Cleaning malware properly from a machine is tricky business these days, and doing something incorrectly can cause a person's computer to become crippled.

I'm not sure if IP.Board has released this capability yet, but it would make it even better (especially for people who have difficulties with BBC) if there was a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor too. There could be a button next to the code tag button that switched between BBC and WYSIWYG.

Thanks for the comment. Invision does offer a a WYSIWYG editor. In fact you can select it in your board settings (last option, "Type of text editor to use when posting"). However, it's buggy enough that we don't enable it by default for everyone.

Can Geeks to Go have an Antivirus/Antispyware/Firewall forum under Security?
