Win Explorer has all files invisible in WinNT and System 32 and I can't find
a way to get them back. I also have problems with Office - Excel and Outlook.
I can't move, copy, drag n drop files around my folders.
At the same Windows Installer has stopped working, as has MS AntiSpyWare, so I can't reinstall Office for example. Add/Remove programs does not work and many
web sites, inc msft download pages are blanked out.
With McAfee I managed to remove Payload.dat and Dc3.exe and I also found something called Modsky.exe (mcafee did not flag this though). Running Mcafee again suggests there is nothing malicious left on the machine.
For a week or so, svchost.exe is running at almost 100% CPU.
