I was just minding my own business earlier today and looking through some files when I suddenly noticed there was no sound coming out of my speakers. I went to turn the volume up but was shocked to find there was no volume control in the taskbar! That's really strange ...

I tried changing the volume through the control panel but that didn't work either. I think something is wrong with a sound driver or something but I haven't fiddled with it at all.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I performed a system restore to an earlier time today and the sound/volume works perfectly again. Somehow something in my computer must have changed ... kind of scary but hey at least it works =)

Sorry for the seemingly waste of a topic!
