So, i'm in the middle of clearing out some old pc junk, am going to sell on eBay or at a boot sale or something. The thing is, with all the trouble of identity theft and other information being stolen, because i had a lot of use with online banking, saving emails and statements etc and some other private stuff that could be recoverable :whistling:

All im after is something that will completely erase my HDD of all recoverable data, so that no one can pinch it if it falls into the wrong hands if i sell. I heard that reformatting your computer will just partition the space, and does not remove all the past deleted stuff (which is gay) I think i've explained the problem enough :blink:

If you could help me find a program that could do this thats free to download and use, then i'd appreciate it forever! :help:

Hey dont worry about this problem, i was browsing through the forums and i actually found a few topics already about it, and it seems to be good, thanks anyhow :whistling:
