ok well i downloaded cod2 the first time i got it no problem.. when i got it i decided to upgrade to version 1.3 then after that decided to go back to 1.0
my friend said (shudve never listened) i shud delete all the files that contain cod2 so i went to drive c went to program files , activision, and then cod2 and deleted activision and cod2 files. i put in disk 1 do begin installation and i click install and a thing pops up and says 1607:unable to install install shield Scripting Runtime.
whats it mean
and how can i fix i just want to play :whistling:

if you use Windows XP

go to start>run>type "regedit" without ">HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>find the developer of CoD2 and keep going til you find the CoD2 folder, and delete it. try to reinstall now


Windows Vista

start>type "regedit" in the search box without ">follow the same directions as above


AND next time, dont just type "HELP" as a subject, describe the problem

whats the call of duty deveoloper? i found a folder htat says C07ft5ZY and i clicked it and in the folder there is something that says cod2esp_s i click it and nothing happens. but thats all i can really find that involves cod2 under the registry editor im not too good with computers so if u cud explain everything thoroughly it would be a great help.
