hi, im new here... i got a virus (somehow got past my mcafee virus/firewall). the start toolbar is gone. and it keeps saying i have low memory. right before, i had scanned for viruses because it said that there was one on here. i told my mom to get rid of them because i was going out. she deleted/quarantined them, but they are still on here. it notifys me everytime i load up the computer. i cant open very many programs (other than IE), and especially cant open McAfee to rescan, nor can i search for the virus on my computer... does anyone know how i can get rid of it or even what its called?

thanks so much in advance!

hi sorry for the delayed response, we have been very busy here lately,

Could you Please Click here!, and follow the recommendations in the guide.

If you're still having trouble, We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool, Hijack This. Follow the instructions in step five of this guide, and post your log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Most of what Hijack This lists lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

If you have already gotten your machine fixed, please respond here and let us know.
Thanks
