hello, new here searched for the same topic came up with numerous others.

Everytime I reboot my work computer AND my home computer I receive the same errror:

MICROSOFT VISUAL C + + RUNTIME LIBRARY

Runtime Error!

PROGRAM c:\program files\Symantec Antivirus\rtvscan.exe

terminated unexpectedly...

I have updated my Java Runtime Environment, ran Spyware doctor, I have ran Panda (removed what i could from its report), I have ran ATF Cleaner, I have ran CCleaner (clean and fix issues), I have scanned and cleaned as much as possible on both computers. At home I ended up uninstalling Symantec. I cannot do that however here at work.

Solutions?

I recommend that you visit our malware forums and make sure you don't have something nasty causing issues with Symantec.

Once you get a clean bill of health there, then we can proceed to the next step if your still having issues.
