I erased one of the two 'UserProfiles' under "System Properties' because it was 5Gb big, when normally it seems (judging by my other computer) that the size should be in the Mb range?
however, i then found all my documents/pictures/videos missing.
i 'Restored' to two different timeperiods, when i KNOW the missing files were there,..yet its all gone...
Is there a Glimmer of hope on recovering it??
Thanks so much to anyone who can help me?!

Download tune up

http://www.tune-up.com

Use the yellow desktop icon, click file recovery and destruction, tune up undelete

Tick show only files in good condition

If you restore any, restore to a folder you create, then move them from there because the original location may not exist

System restore does not concern itself with data, and usually will only be able to correct a change to a programme, not reverse an uninstall
