I have recently downloaded both DosBox and VDMSound in order to configure my PC to play older games on Win. XP

I have been having email problems with Outlook Express and am wondering if these recent downloads may be affecting OE. I cannot send/receive attachments/pictures but what the email 'hangs up' forcing me to go online of my server to get my emails.

Anyone had similar experiences with their PCs and these two downloads for gaming?

These shouldnt cause problems with oe
Try doing a system restore to before you installed the programmes and see if outlook works then
Also to get your game to work did you try run compatability in windows 98?

The games already are configured for compatibility. That was part of the instructions for DosBox/VDMSound.

And re a system restore - these problems were going on before I was using Dosbox/VDMS. Hesitate to do a system restore as it does change some things and then I have to re do them.

If OE does not straighten around - just will find another email program. Thanks for trying to help though.

VDMSound and DOSBox are completely unrelated to Outlook Express and wouldn't effect it.

Thanks Zeus GB - can proceed on with trying to figure out problems with OE knowing those programs are not affecting it.
