For Halo Home dedi users that r smart

I have halo combat evolved and have set up a home dedicated server. My dedicated server lasts about 1 day then it just dissapears off of the lobby and it does it all the time. I have forwarded ports and I have changed my ports on halo too. Im not sure if maybe there is a setting that i can change to make the dedicated server work properly. I think that having vista may be a factor and I may need a download or something. If it's easier to talk to me on xfire instead thats fine too. Xfire:bullettoe
