Hi, Ive just started to use my USB keyboard again and sometimes when i press a button the key is repeated about 10 times even though im not pressing any key. Is this a problem in windows of something to do with the motherboard its self?

Thanks,

Kurt

Nah i dont it must be a driver issue or something. I heard it was because the CPU was at 100% but mines running about 2% when typing. so thats not an issue.

Rumble291,
Keyboard drivers rarely go out.

If the Ps/2 keyboard works fine that means it is ither the port or the keyboard. Do other USB devices work just fine in the slot that you have your keyboard plugged into.

yep its only my usb keyboard that doesnt work properly. I dont see how it can be the keyboard to be honest as its not a complicated piece and they rarely go wrong. The port works fine with other devices such as an ipod, flash drive etc.

Can you try the usb keyboard in another computer.
Based on what you have given us, it does indicate a keyboard issue. The keys when pressed make a contact, which then sends a signal. The keyboard is electronic. It can fail.
