Help with screename/password issue

I just got windows vista last week and it's worked perfect. I don't think this little problem pertains to Windows vista, but i posted it here just to be sure. I've been tryin to log on to different places like forum boards and youtube, and everytime I enter my screename/password then hit enter, it takes me back to the page but not logged in. There must be some setting that set it to not remember any passwords or something. It's really annoying. Fortunately, it did log me in here and myspace. But it isnt working for any other board..

Cliffs:
- I enter screename/password, then hit enter..but it takes me back to the home page as if i'm not logged in
- I think its some internet explorer setting that i have checked
