Hi there! im having a problem with my windows XP. I dont know if that was infected by virus or maybe there was a setting that i need to do, so thats why i posted this topic.

since the virus came into my pc which is the INF/Autorun virus, when i try to make ctrl+alt+delete to open the Task Manager there is a pop message saying "Task manager has been disabled by your administrator" i dont know about the disabled thing & i dint make anything to disable it and i am the only one who is using this pc. another thing more, some of my recent folders files i made is hidden, now i cant view it anymore coz the Folder Options is missing so i cannot change the settings of the folder. I really become crazy about it. pls help me what to do to re-enable the Task Manager & Folder Options.

Thank you so much in advance.

You didn't say whether the virus was cleaned, but where there's one, there may be more. Please go to the Malware section of this forum and follow the instructions at the top. Especially the Click Here link. That will give you several steps that will help you clean up most of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the cleanup process you are still having difficulty, and you may not be, then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

Please be patient as the "Malware Forum" is a very busy place and a two or three day wait is not unusual.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the Malware Section, please return to this thread. Please do not post a HiJackThis log in this thread unless asked to do so and then only as an attachment. To attach log, when requested, either change the .log extension to .txt, or put the log into a compressed (zipped) folder.

Please post back if your problem has been solved.

Ron
