Hello,

You have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Good.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Good, that one is gone.

Now we have to deal with the other stubborn infection.

Download FindQoologic.zip save it to your Desktop.
http://forums.net-in...=post&id=134981

Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Open the FindQoologic folder. Preferable to your desktop.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
Wait until a text opens.
Post this in your next reply

Hello,

I think you unzipped the contents of the findqoologic-folder to different places.
In the findqoologic-folder, 4 items must be there together: find-qoologic2.bat,
getstarts.exe, XFIND.com and Activesetup.vbs.
So you have to run find-qoologic2.bat from within that unzipped folder.
Look on your desktop (or where you saved it) and find the unzipped folder find-qoologic. Just drag the 4 items above in that folder and run find-qoologic2.bat again

Hello..

Ok, we need to fix that. Glad you told me.

Please download next recoverytool and run it.
Reboot afterwards and try to run findqoologic again and post the log here.

Hello,

Seems that the error you got about C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt... really was the reason why it didn't work. Thanx again for telling me, it was important.
I see that a lot of people are having problems with it running, but they never tell me that they get any errors. Now you are the second one that tells me, so now i think i found the reason why it didn't work with others either.

* Download Killbox.
Click killbox.exe.
Select the option "Delete on reboot".

Now copy the next bold:

C:\docume~1\alluse~1\startm~1\programs\startup\RDUK.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\MAROV.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\MAROV.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\SPEIBSP.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\WINUP2~1.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\System32\DCXNQDC.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\IRAPLI.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\WMCONFIG.CPL

Open 'file' in the killboxmenu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Now you will see, this is pasted in the "Full Path of File to Delete"-field.
There's a little arrow (dropdown-arrow) next to that field.
If you expand it, these lines must be there together!

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be deleted on next reboot.. Click YES
When it asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you get a "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" message then just restart manually.

Your computer must reboot.

Post a new Findqoologiclog and hijackthislog in your next reply.

Great!
Seems like we got it.

Now check and fix next line in hijackthis again:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\irapli.exe

When done, open notepad and copy and paste next in the white field in it:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\mgsnkmgk]

Save this as fix.reg
Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
Now doubleclick on it and when you get the prompt if you want to add the contents to the registry, click yes.

How are things running now? Popups gone?
