ASMS Problem

Hey guys, I know this problem has been relayed on this site and many others, a thousand times, however I've tried almost everything on those sites and nothing works. (And Im to poor to buy a new cd drive). My computer recently had a boot problem and froze at the Windows boot logo (with the little blue bars). After getting into safe mode, I moved what files I needed and decided to start fresh, so I popped in my cds and I got to the point in the installation where it says "The file asms on Windows XP Professional SP2..." I tried to do the regedit that Microsoft says to try, and I get this message "The system cannot execute the specified program". And I don't have any Win98 disks either... so Im at my wits end I was hoping you guys could help out...

And again, sorry for the millionth post of this.
