Hello,
Ran SmitFraudFix v2.207 per instructions. The nasty System Tray Icon went away, but seemed to return at next reboot. There were a few strange things happening during exec of SmitFraudFix:
1. Sometime after the "clean registry" question (answered y), a window pops up: "Cannot import Cleanup.reg: Error accessing the registry". Registry portion of rapport.txt shows only "Registry Cleaning done."
2. I have an old version of Norton Systemworks running, it seems to wake up the "CleanSweep" function immediately after answering "y". I cancel out of this, apparently benignly.

For what it's worth, I see the processes: pipmon.exe, monwow.exe, & wowexec.exe when the LiveProtect System Tray Icon is present. Pipmon.exe can't be deleted with Task Manager.

tnx!
