hey guys. i'm getting frusturated here...

sooo the first issue is with my itunes. the itunes store just won't open at all and a message "cannot connect...the network has timed out" pops up every time. this has been going on for a couple days now. i've heard that many people have this same problem...i have no firewall at the moment, which is usually the cause. also, when i run the diagnostics, both on itunes and my connection in general, it assures me that everything is A-OK.

SECONDLY. my internet explorer (V7?) has been acting strange. sites i would visit pretty much every day (i.e. myspace, yahoo, etc.) just WONT open. no error even comes up...the screen just goes white, all while it SEEMS as if it is trying to connect. some websites DO come up, however most don't or take ages (and end up with several errors having to do with the HTML).

any ideas on what's up?
thanks a lot..!

These problems are almost always caused by either firewall programs or certain anti-virus programs. Are you running anti-virus and/or firewall?

i ran the diagnostics on my itunes and it told me that my firewall is turned off.
i have norton anti-virus running (not 360) but it has never caused problems like this...

also i uninstalled my IE and then reinstalled...nothing changed.
ran a full system scan with norton...nothing changed.

any other ideas?
