Hi, Posted this in the networking forum but not getting any response so I'm trying it in the XP forum.
Not sure where to start. Tried following SpaceCowboy706's tutorial as closely as possible. With the d-link router some of the terminology was different in the routers browser based setup screen. Windows XP home on both PCs. d-link dir-615 router. 1 wired home base PC (A) and one wireless PC. Both computers are able to access the internet. Wired home base PC (A) can recognize shared files on the wireless PC, however the wireless PC cannot recognize shared files on the home base PC. Also the wireless PC will not recognize the shared printer on the Wired PC. Another odd thing that started happening is that now when I go to the run screen and try to run ipconfig or try to ping the other computer, the little black DOS screen will pop up for a split second and then disappear. I also do not have a "security" tab when i try to set file attributes.
Thank you for your help.
