:tazz: well it seems i got further than last time, but this time at the windows setup after doing the f6, hitting s, and selecting Promise Sata 378 ™ controller, i came across with a new problem....WinXP\UlSata.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2113 in d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

;) now i am stuck with this and wondering what i should do next. let me know if you guys know what i can do thx.

are you loading the sata driver from a floppy? Perhaps the file is corrupted or there is some other problem with that floppy. Try repeating the process using a known to be good floppy. :tazz:

yes i loaded the sata driver from a floppy and you might be right. i think i might of loaded the wrong info to floppy, but will try till i get it right. i will let you know when i get and thx. :tazz:
