When trying to use the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs program, the following error occurs (see error1.bmp attachment)...

An unexpected error occurred
Class not registered
Res://appwiz.cpl/listbox.htc

Then in the Add/Remove Programs window, the first line reads (see error2.bmp attachment)...

"There are no programs installed on this computer"

Then scrolling down you can see programs listed, but when you select one, the Change and Remove buttons are disabled (see error3.bmp attachment).

Any help is appreciated.

I haven't figured out yet what corrupted the registry, but what fixed it was running the repair of IE6.0 which lays down and registers many core DLL's used by Windows.
