I have an Intel Celeron D 2.8Ghz processor (not over clocked), and when running a temp check, I got two flames next to two of the temperatures.

As you can see, CPU usage is only at 25%

At the time, I just had Windows Live Messenger, iTunes and Firefox open.

Also, about three days ago, I cleaned the CPU fan out.

Thanks. If you need any more info, tell me.

They are flames because Speedfan has been set to flag them up as being above a certain temperature which you can configure in the program's options.

In any case, assuming Temp3 is the CPU temperature, 57 degrees isn't all that hot. A bit on the high side yes, but not hot enough that I would worry about it.

I'm pretty sure temp2 is the CPU. Anyway, yesterday I over clocked my CPU from 2.8 to 3.5, and then I opened SpeedFan and temp3 was reported as -4*C which can't be right, unless it's just a faulty sensor.

Anyway, I'm using Everest now, which seems to report some better results

What results do you get in Everest? It's about the fifth time that I write in the forum that I can't stand speedfan because of the stupid, incomprehensive way it presents the temp readings.
