Now when I am using my pc every so often it pauses. And I mean pauses as the mouse pauses and then moves again, like its sticky, for example if im drawing in photoshop it will stick and draw a straight line from where It paused and where it should be now..

now I have only noticed this when the machiene is accessing the hdd. I find it weard as my pc is brand new any ideas please..
my specs are:

Windows xp pro
AMD 64 3.2GHZ
Soulteck MB nforce 3 (nvidia)
Seagate SATA HDD
Gigabyte Raedon 9600xt (ATI video card)
PC 3200 Ram (don?t know brand)

Can some one please help as no benchmarks find a problem with this!

Welcome to GTG steveonz :D

Could be a number of things. Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

It might be a hardware issue. Have opened up and cleaned out the mouse? Also, is it on a decent surface? Sorry if the questions sound stupid, I'm trying to eliminate possibilities. <_<
