Many thanks for your reply unfortunately I've found 3 regedit files which one do I edit ?
Also none of them give me the full path, all I found was HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG->software ->microsoft->windows but no policies. Any suggestions?

Cheers

hi don.
all seems rosey at the moment. (many thanks)
And yeh i understood about the reasons why to re-install the items you told me to (mainly my fault for not fully listing what i removed).
as a side question. I removed 4 "trusted sites" that first time around, then re-installed them on your command but you didnt ask to remove them again. Is this because another process removed them? for i've never heard of these so called sites im supposed to trust.

here's the complete silent runner log. (bnorton thought it was a virus so i had to give permission). It appears in the earlier post i copied the text before runner had finished running.

whilst posting this thread the yellow alert in taskbar popped up again :tazz:

Superb work.
I'll be making a well deserved donation to your account? (from gidion_umm)
also, are there any resources you could point me to to learn the knowledge you posess? (computer science student in last year at uni and you've just got my revision right back on track).
Big thanks yet again.
