excuse me geniuses of the board i need help

for some reason my laptop/notebook speakers have stopped working, i'm not sure if its really a hardware failture thing or some other problem

sound comes out if i plug in my headphones so i assume my soundcard is fine.......i guess.

please help, i need some wisdom.
