Lately, whenever I click on MS Word, I get an error message saying something like : "Winword has caused an error, and will now close". Or somethinglike that. Bad enough if it closed down, but it doesn't. I have to close down myself. Cont/alt/delete doesn't work, so I have to switch off. Which REALLY annoys my computer.

Does anyone out there know what winword is?

And why does it telel me my system is 'seriously overloaded' when it so is not?

winword is MS Word.

Serach for all copies of normal.dot on your computer and delete them...then try restarting msword

I found 'normal' on my C-drive and deleted it.

I then got into Word. Too early yet to tell. But if I can continue getting into Word for the rest of the week, I think we have a result.

Many thanks for your help.
