This should be place between the picture page's <head> tags. If no access to them, then you can try removing the <style></style> tags and placing the CSS at the very beginning of where you place the other code.
I left off the pound sign (#) in the background-color as MySpace doesn't use it. That's one of the quirks I remembered.
