^ Sorry for the late reply..I had to go out. Anyways, I booted in both Safe mode and the Last Known Good Configuration as you suggested...safe mode didn't work, and the LKGC looked like the normal booting..

Do you have access to 'My Computer' and the internet?

If so -
open my computer
right click drive c
click properties
click tools tab
click check now under error-checking
check automatically fix errors
click yes for running it at next reboot

then do what it says here

except for hijack this
hijack this would be for the geeks to read
if they ask you to post the log

Sorry for the late reply. Something came up yesterday so I was out of town the entire day ^^;;

But...

my computer's fixed!! ^__^ I installed the service pack 2, like you said, cmpm. I did about three updates that took 3-4 hours. I had to wait for the automatic updates to pop up itself, and after installing the service pack 2, I shut down my computer because it was almost 4 AM. Then today, when I turned on my computer, everything was fixed!!! :whistling:

Thanks cmpm and fleamailman for all the help you've given me  You guys are amazing♥

That's good news.
I'd leave the computer on, though you can turn the monitor off to save energy.
Leave it on to continue receiving updates and I'd still run through these steps listed here.
It will not hurt your computer for sure.
