I've been getting this "Agent not found" message almost every day. It also happens when I go to Control Panel and click the icon for Program Manager. I receive some updates automatically (microsoft, AVG, etc.). Others .... not so sure. Should I worry? If so, how do I fix?
Windows XP running.
Many thanks.

I uninstalled the Install shield update manger from add-remove programs.
It was an annoyance and never found any updates anyway.
Don't know where it came from but it's not part of xp in my opinion.

So, I should uninstall update manager? I can do that - Where did update manager come from if it's not part of XP? Thanks.
