elementary... windows not loading properly, I think!

:whistling: I've tried updating, downloading, reinstalling... still receive error message on startup and visible sign is Windows START menu bar loads in safe mode or the old beige boxes of yesteryear... help!

Error Message: 0x606bebb8 referenced memory at 0x000000a0 memory could not be written

oh ya... no sound either~

Download Microsoft memory test utility from the list of programs below. Make a bootable cd. Boot the computer with the cd in the drive, making sure it is set to be first boot priority device. Run the test for at least an hour and report if there are any errors. If there are, turn off the computer, pull out the modules, clean the contacts on the modules and inside the slots (with a sofy brush), reinstall and run the test again.

How much ram do you have and how is it arranged (on, two or more modules).
