hi im trying to fix a friends pc and im not that great with pcs and neither is he lol anyway when he starts his pc he gets a "error loading c\windows\system32\epuvxdkb.dll the specified module could not be found....." what should i do could i do a repair on his xp with my retail xp cd or should i try something else ,sorry if ive posted in the wrong place

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

ok im gonna do that ...wow theres alot of great info there are \system32\ errors generally caused by malware?
